Ktila proved too strong once again as he clocked a time of 53.97sec to win the men's 400 metres T33/34, ensuring he maintained his 100 per cent record at the Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old was victorious in every race he competed in, taking gold in the 100m and 800m on the opening day before he powered to another dominant win on day two in the 200m.

The hosts' success continued as Fethi Zouinkhi clinched his second victory of the meeting by winning the 100m T51/52/53/54 in a time of 15.72, edging out Algeria's Maamar Harachif by a narrow 0.06 seconds to add to his 1500m triumph the previous day.

Algerian Sofiane Hamdi also sealed a second gold at the event as he won the men's 400m T36/37/43/44 race in 55.10, comfortably ahead of compatriot Sid Ali Bouzourine.

Another athlete at the double was Nigeria's Unyime Uwak, who added to her 100m win on day two by reigning supreme in the T36/38/47 200m race thanks to a rapid time of 28.57, which proved enough to beat home favourite Sonia Mansour.

It was also a successful meeting for Angola, who claimed a one-two in the men's 400m T11 as Jose Chamoleia ousted team mate Fernando Simao, clocking 55.94 to take victory, while Tunisia's excellent performance on home soil continued with Achraf Lahouel's win in the 400m T13 event.

Elsewhere, Kenya took full advantage of the absence of world and Paralympic champion El Amin Chentouf of Morocco by dominating the men's 5,000m T11/12, with the top four spots all going to the African nation in a race won by Hillary Kibet Kemboi in a time of 15:24.7.

Hermas Muvunyi sealed a rare win for Rwanda with victory in the men's 400m T46, while out in the field, it was another fruitful day for the hosts and also for Algeria.

Tunisian Paralympic champion Maroua Ibrahmi took the women's F32 club throw honours thanks to a haul of 1,001 points, and team-mate Hania Aidi completed a shot put and javelin double.

Algeria's Safia Djelal, who set a javelin world record on the opening day in Tunis, could not quite repeat the feat as she came second behind compatriot Nassima Saifi in the women's F55/56/57 discus event.

Saifi's teammate Mohamed Nadjib Amchi claimed a huge scalp in the men's club throw F31/32/51 as he beat world champion and fellow Algerian Lahouari Bahlaz thanks to his final attempt of 22.27, while Paralympic bronze medallist Kamel Kardjena won the javelin F33/34 ahead of Tunisian Faouzi Rzig.

The 2015 IPC Athletics Grand Prix series is due to continue in Beijing from April 18 to 20.
