Germany’s Anna Schaffelhuber claimed her third women’s sitting crystal globe today as she added the giant slalom title to her super-G and downhill crowns during the World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals’ in Pyeongchang.

Schaffelhuber has been in fine form during the competition in South Korea, which is acting as a test event for next year’s Winter Paralympics.

She proved to be a class above the rest again during the giant slalom as she completed her two runs with a combined time of 2min 21.86sec.

World champion Claudia Loesch of Austria finished in second place 5.63sec behind the German.

Third place went to Anna-Lena Forster, who clocked a combined time of 2:29.69.

The top three from today’s race also took up the same positions in the overall giant slalom World Cup standings.

In the women’s visually impaired giant slalom competition, Henrieta Farkasova and her guide Natalia Subrtova were crowned the World Cup champions as topped today’s podium.

The Slovakians, who won the super-G crystal globe earlier in the week, finished ahead of Australia’s Melissa Perrine and guide Andrew Bor, while United States skier Staci Manella and her guide Sadie de Baun came third.

A second place finish in the women’s standing race proved to be enough for Andrea Rothfuss to win the World Cup title, adding it to her super-G crystal globe.

Quadruple gold medallist from the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi Marie Bochet of France won the standing race while Canada’s Alana Ramsay was third.

Slovakia’s Jakub Krako picked up his first world cup title of the season as he claimed the men’s visually impaired crystal globe alongside his guide Branislav Brozman.

During the campaign, Krako missed out on just one podium and won his third race of the season in Pyeongchang.

Miroslav Haraus, another Slovakian, and his guide Maros Hudik finished second in both today’s race and the giant slalom standings.

Jon Santacana Maiztegui of Spain completed today’s race podium with guide Miguel Galindo.

In the men’s sitting giant slalom, despite finishing 10th, Austria’s Roman Rabl was still able to claim the crystal globe.

Today’s race was won by Japan’s Taiki Morii ahead of Dutch 17-year-old Jeroen Kampschreur while Polish skier Igor Sikorski was third.

Alexis Guimond of Canada won the men’s standing race despite being sixth after the first run, beating France’s Arthur Bauchet by just 0.01.

Markus Salcher of Austria, bronze medallist from Sochi 2014, came third.

Australian Mitchell Gourley took home the overall giant slalom World Cup title.
