An event held by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) demonstrated different sports to students at a school in the Asian country.

Members of the governing body's Women and Sport Commission attended Taing Samrong Secondary School in a bid to introduce sport to youngsters at grassroots level.

Leading the way was wrestler Chov Sotheara, who competed for the country at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

She led the students in general exercise activities to promote health and fitness.

Mak Sivantha, the head of the Women and Sport Commission, was also on hand as members and athletes gave presentations.

Sports equipment was donated to the girls and boys who took part at the conclusion of the event.

Sotheara competed in the women's freestyle under-48 kilograms competition at Rio 2016 in August.

However, she lost her opening match in the round of 16 to Colombia's Carolina Castillo, who triumphed 10-0.

She was part of a Cambodian team of six competing in the Brazilian city, across four sports.

Kuniaki Takizaki and Nary Ly contested the men's and women's marathons respectively, with the country also selecting swimmers Pou Sovijja and Hemthon Vitiny.

Sorn Seavmey competed in the women's taekwondo competition.
