Estonia's Kelly Sildaru won the women's slopestyle gold medal at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Junior Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Valmalenco today.

She was a comfortable winner, amassing 95.33 points to finish six clear of her nearest rival on the fourth day of action at the Italian resort.

Today's victory extends a remarkable winter for the 15-year-old, who won her second consecutive Winter X Games slopestyle title in Aspen in Colorado.

She also won a silver medal in the Big Air competition in Colorado this year.

Jennie-Lee Burmansson of Sweden took the silver medal with her score of 89.33 points.

The United States' Caroline Claire finished in bronze medal position with 84 points.

In the men's slopestyle competition, Japan's Taisei Yamamoto clinched the gold medal.

He scored 91.66 points to finish exactly three points ahead of his nearest challenger.

The silver medal was won once again by a Swedish competitor as Oliwer Magnusson finished second with a total of 88.66.

Ryan Stevenson ensured the US won both bronze medals.

He posted a score of 87.66 points to join compatriot Claire in third place in their respective competitions. 

Action is set to conclude tomorrow with the ski cross competitions.
