Reigning champions Serbia eased to victory over Belgium as they gained revenge for an embarrassing defeat earlier in the competition at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) World League.

On June 3, the Belgians stunned their European rivals by claiming a straight-sets win.

However, Serbia managed to set the record straight with Drazen Luburic scoring 19 points.

He led his side to a comfortable 25-22, 25-18, 25-20 victory at the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran in Group D1.

Marko Ivovic added a further 13 points for Serbia while 10 from Bram Van Den Dries could not prevent a Belgian defeat.

"I am very satisfied obviously, not only because of the victory we deserved, but it was the third win in a row," said Serbia coach Nikola Grbic.

"We played late yesterday and there were things that could have given us some problem for this match.

"But I saw my guys so concentrated and they really wanted this victory.

"We lost against Belgium in Serbia and we really wanted to win today."
