Great Britain produced a superb performance to cruise into the semi-finals today at the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Men's Under-23 Championships in Toronto.

The British, who finished top of Group B in the round-robin stage, crushed Iran 77-50 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. 

They are chasing e a first medal in the 20-year history of the competition.

Jack Perry was chosen as player of the game after a dominant performance in which they proved too strong for their Asian opponents.

Three other quarter-final encounters also took place.

Australia beat Germany 69-66, before Japan overcame hosts Canada 58-45.

France were then beaten 60-54 by Turkey, the tournament's only unbeaten team.

A draw then took place to decided the semi-finals ties.

Britain were drawn against Japan, while Turkey will meet Australia.

Competition is due to continue until Friday (June 16).
