Logistics specialists EFM Global have signed on as the latest national supplier of this year's World Para Athletics Championships in London.

The British-based company will be tasked with supplying logistics services for the duration of the event, which runs from July 14 to 23 at the Olympic Stadium.

It will include customs clearance, baggage and equipment handling, transportation, freight forwarding and integrated logistics support to London 2017.

"Managing the logistics is a vital, often unseen, element to the delivery of a successful event," London 2017 Championships director Niels de Vos said.

"We are therefore delighted to have secured EFM Global as a sponsor with their wide experience and expertise. 

"We look forward to working together to ensure the smooth running of the World Para Athletics Championships next month."

The company have been providing project logistics, freight and transportation solutions to the live events industry since they were established in 2000.

EFM Global have a strong association with sport having worked as the freight supplier of choice for international sports teams in Britain including athletics, rowing, cycling, rugby, skiing and cricket.

"We’re delighted to support London 2017 in delivering a world class event to a global audience with our appointment as the national logistics supplier of the World Para Athletics Championships," EFM Global chief commercial officer Lisa Ryan said.

"Working at the Stadium again is very exciting for our team and we believe that our extensive major sporting event experience will ensure a smooth running logistical operation for all concerned."

The agreement comes after Ottobock Healthcare were confirmed as a national supplier of the event this week. 

London 2017 marks the first time both the World Para Athletics Championships and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships will be hosted in the same city in the same year.

More than 3,000 athletes from more than 200 nations are set to compete over 20 days of action.

The IAAF World Championships are due to be held from August 4 to 13.

Last month, Oil and gas giant BP were announced as a national partner of the London 2017 World Para Athletics Championships.
