Top seed Gordon Reid of Great Britain dropped just one game as he reached the quarter-finals of the 2017 Open de France in Paris today.

The Rio 2016 Paralympic champion brushed aside Frenchman Gaetan Menguy 6-0, 6-1 in the wheelchair tennis tournament.

Reid is joined in round three by compatriot Alfie Hewett, the Rio 2016 silver medallist.

The Briton saw off Nicolas Vanlerberghe of France 6-2, 6-1.

Stephane Houdet was one positive for the host nation on day three.

The tournament's second seed delighted the home crowd as he eased to a comfortable 6-1, 6-0 victory over Spaniard Martin De La Puente.

Gustavo Fernandez of Argentina, seeded third, was in emphatic form as he dropped a single game, defeating France's Geoffrey Jasiak 6-0, 6-1.

France's Nicolas Peifer also qualified for the last eight of the men's event with a stunning performance.

The 26-year-old did not drop a game as he defeated Austria's Nico Langmann 6-0, 6-0.

Sweden's Stefan Olsson also eased to a win as he beat Agustin Ledesma of Argentina 6-0, 6-0.

Action continues tomorrow with quarter-finals in the men's and women's singles taking place.

Competition comes just weeks before the second Grand Slam of the season, with wheelchair tennis action on the grass at Wimbledon scheduled for July 13 to 16.

The event is an International Tennis Federation Super Series competition.
