Hosts Italy claimed three golds as the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving Grand Prix came to Bolzano.

These successes included podium topping performances in both the mixed events at the Lido di Bolzano.

Elena Bertocchi and Maicol Verzotto won the mixed 3 metre competition with a score of 296.55 points, pushing Brazil’s Tammy Galera Takagi and Ian Matos into second and Russian pair Elena Chernykh and Boris Efremov into third.

Verzotto added a second gold in the 10m event alongside Noemi Batki with a score of 303.12.

Batki herself won the third gold for Italy as she joined Chiara Pellacani on top of the women’s 10m synchronised podium.

The remaining golds were spread around divers from Brazil, China, Colombia, Japan and Russia.

The latter won two titles, with Evgenii and Viacheslav Novoselov being victorious in the men’s 3m synchronised and this was added to by Egor Galperin and Efremov in the men’s 10m synchronised.

In the men’s individual events, Isaac Souza Filho won gold for Brazil in the 10m platform final, while Colombia’s Sebastian Morales took the 3m springboard crown.

Women’s individual golds were won by Yuka Mabuchi of Japan in the 3m springboard and Chinese diver Nanju Zhang in the 10m platform.

The next stage of the FINA Diving Grand Prix will take place in Malaysian capital city Kuala Lumpur between October 26 and 29.
