World champions Serbia made a good start to their bid of winning a first continental crown on day two of the 2017 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 Europe Cup today.

The three time world champions were beaten in last year's European final in Bucharest but won both of their matches at Museum Square in Dutch capital Amsterdam today.

Hungary were their first opponents and the Serbians recorded a comfortable 21-13 win.

They then overcame Spain 21-9 to finish top of Pool A and move into the quarter-finals.

Despite losing to the Serbians this evening, Spain defeated Hungary 18-15 in their match earlier today to secure second place and advance to the last eight.

Ukraine finished top of Group D in the men's competition.

They first defeated Turkey 22-14 before claiming a 21-12 win over The Netherlands this evening.

The Dutch team did secure second, however, after edging Turkey 21-17 earlier today.
