An agreement has been reached for the 2017 European Shooting Championships to be broadcast on television.

The European Shooting Confederation (ESC) confirmed they have finalised arrangements with Azerbaijan’s national television and the European Broadcasting Union for the Championships.

Competition will take place from July 25 to August 2 in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku.

The ESC have stated receiving the European Broadcasting Union signal will only be possible with written permission from the governing body.

Television companies have been invited to apply for access to the signal through the ESC Secretariat.

The cost of the technical access to the EBU satellite will be covered by the ESC for all of the approved television companies.

The Championships will feature the rapid fire pistol and women’s 25 metres pistol events, as well as the men’s and women’s three positions rifle competitions.

Both the men’s and women’s trap and skeet shotgun events will also be held.

Two mixed team competitions in trap and skeet will take place during the Championships.

The ESC claim the events will offer each member federation the opportunity to promote shooting sport, the athletes and the sponsors.
