Kim In-Young of South Korea has a two-shot lead after the second round of the Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns in Fife.

She hit a four-under-par round of 68 to put herself on 11-under for the tournament as rain fell across the course in Scotland during the day.

The 29-year-old is ahead of England’s Georgia Hall and Lexi Thompson of the United States and was pleased with her round in the conditions.

"I think it [the rain] was about as bad as it could get, but I was able to manage it just fine," she said.

"I really enjoy playing out there.

"I haven’t really thought about tomorrow yet, but I’ll look at what I did [today] and maybe I can make some kind of plan."

After he course record round of eight-under yesterday, Michelle Wie came back down with a bump.

The American carded 76 to fall from the top of the leaderboard down to a tie for 21st place.

The cut was set at one-under, the score which world number one So Yeon Ryu found herself on at the end of round.

Action is due to continue tomorrow with the third round.
