World Taekwondo continued their anti-doping education programme at the Grand Prix Final and World Taekwondo Team Championships in Abidjan.

The outreach programme, which was the first of its type to be held in Africa, took place throughout the competitions in the Ivory Coast city last month, in cooperation with the country's National Committee which fights against doping.

A total of 60 athletes, coaches and fans visited the programme's stand, which was set-up close to the athletes' warm-up room and provided more information about anti-doping.

Interactive quizzes were also held with winners receiving pens and t-shirts.

This anti-doping education programme was the latest to be held by World Taekwondo following similar events during the World Para-Taekwondo Championships in London.

World Taekwondo has also held anti-doping education programmes for junior athletes since 2016.

The first took place during the World Taekwondo Junior Championships in Burnaby, Canada, followed by programmes at the World Taekwondo Championships in Muju, South Korea.

Another session took place at the World Taekwondo Cadet Championships in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
